Council of Australian Law Deans (CALD)

The Council of Australian Law Deans (CALD) is an unincorporated association.  The Deans of all of Australia’s 30 University Law Schools are members of the Council and they meet together three or four times a year at different locations.  CALD’s objectives include:

Studying Law in Australia (SLIA) 2007

This publication, now in its 15th edition, is a guide to the study of law in Australia and to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Australian University Law Schools and Practical Legal Training Institutions in the 2007 calendar year .

The content includes information about the Australian legal system, matching a system with a study destination, the Australian qualifications framework, tuition fees and other costs, degrees and diplomas in law and postgraduate courses, overseas recognition of Australian law degrees and more detailed information on each of Australia’s 30 University Law Schools and the pre-admission  Practical Legal Training Courses in Australia. 

SLIA is prepared and published by the Council of Australian Law Deans. SLIA 2007 is available online.
